Finding Professional Help

If you think that you or someone you know may be struggling with a mental health issue the best thing to do is to reach out for help. Talking to your family and friends is a great place to start. You might also consider reaching out to the Counseling Center on campus. While it's true, that treatment for mental health issues can get expensive, HWS students can see someone at the Counseling Center free of charge. In our current pandemic times they are offering telehealth services.

Below are a few apps to connect you with professional help right away. They aren't necessarily free, but some do take insurance.

Mental health issues are largely treatable. There are many treatments available and it is very possible to feel like yourself again and to live a full and happy life. Below are a couple of articles that talk more about recovery.
