Hobart and William Smith Colleges Archives & Special Collections has initiated a campus-wide project to encourage students, faculty, staff, alumni and alumnae, and other members of our community to document their personal experiences during the coronavirus outbreak and contribute them to the HWS Archives.
While the Hobart and William Smith Colleges Archives & Special Collections is actively preserving official communication from HWS administration in the form of official emails and webpage captures, we want to ensure that your personal experiences and reactions are included as well. All members of the campus community are invited and encouraged to participate.
The method of recording your thoughts during this time is up to you! Some suggestions include writing in a journal, recording voice memos, taking photos or videos of life as you see it, or creating multimedia works of digital storytelling.
There is no obligation to participate for any set length of time, and you can contribute as much or as little as you would like. Information on ways to contribute, including tips for getting started and prompt ideas, can be found in the tabs on the left side of this page.

Please fill out this Google Form to submit your items. You will be able to sign an agreement allowing the HWS Archives & Special Collections to preserve your submission, and you will receive important information about the copyright and use of your content.

Submissions will not be available to the public immediately. They will be made available no sooner than three years from the date of submission, and once they are processed by Archives staff.
