Janell Deter Bekauri is the Systems and Information Services Librarian. She earned a B.A. and M.A. in linguistics from the University of Chicago. Additionally, she spent time studying in France and the Republic of Georgia. More recently, she completed an M.S. in library and information science at the University at Buffalo.
Janell's work at HWS focuses on the library's systems, but she is also passionate about collection development, DEI issues in libraries and technology, and student access to library resources.
Janell enjoys reading, cooking, hiking, traveling, futbol, music and hanging out with family and friends.
Janell can speak Georgian.
